Otaola Criticizes Baseball Game Timing and Permitting Issues: "Like It's Cuba, Careless and Unplanned"

Friday, May 23, 2025 by Richard Morales

The baseball game between Team De la Vida and La Familia Cubana at Miami's Tamiami Park continues to spark debate on social media, with one of the most controversial statements coming from influencer Alexander Otaola. Otaola questioned whether the Miami-Dade Police suspended the game due to the large crowd, which reportedly disrupted traffic in the area. He claimed that the organizers failed to secure the necessary permits for the event: "You didn't have the permits. You did it like it's Cuba because that's your mindset, because you're not mentally in the United States. You set this up like a casual game in a neighborhood field, because that's what you are, that's what you represent."

During his Thursday show, Otaola insisted that scheduling the event during his program's time slot on Wednesday was a deliberate move. "They held this game during my program's time on a weekday. Why didn't they plan it for a Saturday, for instance, when more people who aren't working could attend? Why not a Saturday, since it's just a baseball field and any day could work?" Otaola questioned.

He further speculated, "Why did they choose the exact same time? Oh, because the idea was to try to outdo me, but they couldn't. They had to settle for displaying the masked fool who's not in Miami, Carlitos Alberto, who doesn't even exist—just a mask and a rag doll—and the other, Michael Jackson. They had to capture a screenshot with ten minutes of the program (...) We had 10 minutes of the show with over 10,000 viewers, and they had three hours with 11,000," he added, referencing an Instagram post by Un Martí To Durako.

Confident in his assertions, Otaola stated, "All this unity among influencers, artists, and the merchants of misery is an attempt to displace this program," on his YouTube channel.

In response to Otaola's claims, Un Martí To Durako announced that Las Locuras de Miguelín, La Familia Cubana, and Farándula 305 will host a live dynamic show every day from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., coinciding with Otaola's program.
