U.S. Showcases Its Aerial Military Might in Miami with Historic Formation

This past weekend, Miami's sky was the stage for an unprecedented display of aerial strength during the Hyundai Air & Sea Show, coinciding with Memorial Day celebrations in the United States. For the first time, the United States Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) unveiled a joint formation featuring three of its most iconic bombers: the stealthy B-2A Spirit, the swift B-1B Lancer, and the legendary B-52H Stratofortress.

These formidable aircraft were accompanied by elite fighter jets, including the F-22 Raptor, F-15E Strike Eagle, A-10 Warthog, and F-16 Fighting Falcon, captivating onlookers with an unmatched display of coordination and power. The event, held annually on the beaches of South Beach, is free to the public and serves as a tribute to the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and emergency services. Besides the aerial stunts, attendees enjoy technological demonstrations and displays of the latest generation vehicles.

Highlight of the Air & Sea Show: V-22 Osprey's Spectacular Maneuvers

One of the standout moments was the participation of the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey, a hybrid helicopter-airplane aircraft, which performed spectacular maneuvers under the command of Marine Corps Captain Bryton Seyfert. "Flying this aircraft is incredible. There's nothing like it in the world," the pilot told Local 10 News.

The 2025 edition marks the ninth consecutive year of the show in Miami Beach, solidifying its status as one of the largest military display events in the country. The best views were between 11th and 15th Streets, where thousands gathered to witness the "greatest show above the Earth."
